President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo has announced registration of paperless and licensing of vehicles will begin by July, 2022.
The government stated that, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) and the Ghana Card will be fully integrated soon.
According to a tweet from the Presidency on Wednesday June 15 “DVLA systems and the Ghana Card platform will be fully integrated by July 2022 to facilitate paperless registration of vehicles and licensing of drivers while ensuring easy processing of documents.”
Government is implementing policies to reduce the human element in the services being provided by most government institutions.
For instance, the paperless port system was introduced to transform the country’s clearing system to reduce clearance time and human contacts with a feature of having joint examination to eradicate hitherto duplication of duties by state agencies at the Port.
